I know I’ve been MIA for a few weeks, but I’m back! My summer semester was a bit more intense than I expected and as soon as I finished, I decided to finish my Camp Nanowrimo novel. I wrote about 50k words in the last two weeks and I’m tired. But I’m excited to be back, pick a winner for TBR Intervention and ask some advice.
Advice? I wrote this really cool sci-fi novel that needs a lot of work. I want to see how awesome, more experienced sci-fi writers have dealt with a lot of the challenges the genre presents. So, Please recommend your favorite sci-fi novels in the comments. Light sci-fi and young adult sci-fi preferred. TV recommendations and movies are also welcome! I especially want to read stories that have killer endings! And if you know of a fabulous sci-fi writer who runs a great blog, let me know!
TBR Intervention runs on the first Friday of every month in 2013. This month the choices were…
Scorched (ARC, slightly damaged corner) by Mari Mancusi
Dreamland by Sarah Dessen
The Distance Between Us by Kasie West
Ink by Amanda Sund (ARC)
Dirty Little Secret by Jennifer Echols
I picked a random commenter and used random.org:
That is Christina who chose The Distance Between Us. I’m excited to read it! Especially because of her comment about happy cute times (below). Also, because she also has a copy, I will give away my copy when I review it!
Again, guys, I’m so excited to be back! I’m working on some cool stuff coming up and I can’t wait to catch up on reading everyone’s blogs!
