This week, I wanted to share a couple songs by The Maine. I’ve been listening to them for four albums now and they keep getting better. Each new album feels a little bit like watching them grow up.
“Run” – I love this song. It just brings up these really vivid images for me. If I end up writing a boarding school story about a superhero who becomes a villain… well, blame this song. Because every time I listen to it, I plot a little more of a ridiculous novel.
“The Kennedy Curse” – I actually didn’t like it the first time I heard it, but it’s haunting and gets stuck in my head. Now it’s one of my favorite tracks on the album.
I’ve been told many times that I don’t know what the word “favorite” means, but The Maine is probably my favorite band. Both of these songs are off their album “Forever Halloween” which can be purchased on amazon and probably iTunes and probably other places, too.
