Tune In Tuesday is hosted by Kate’s Tales of of Books and Bands and was created by G Reads. The theme for September is covers, which are my favorite, and last week I focused on songs. This week I’ll take a look at covers by some of my favorite bands.
I’ve loved New Found Glory since 8th or 9th grade and this video makes me love them even more. Not only is it a great cover, but the band is clearly having fun in the video. The way the guy leans over to scream into the mic while singing a love song is almost as great as him creeping on the couples who are making out. Speaking of… there is more kissing in this video than in a YA Paranormal romance, but I love the girl revenge theme at the end.
About the time I started listening to New Found Glory, I started listening to another band. Don’t ask me why, but this next song is one of my all time favorite covers:
And finally, Fall Out Boy, a band I’ve loved for years. Go ahead and judge me, but their latest album is fantastic.
Plus Michael Jackson covers are always awesome.

I LOVE me some New Found Glory! I don’t think I’ve heard their cover of that song but I love it and the video as well. As for Fall Out Boy, they will forever be one of my favorites. Their songs always take me back to middle school where I basically survived off of their songs.

OMG, I love that “Kiss Me” cover so much! I also really got into New Found Glory in high school…you’re reminding me that they have some great covers on their “From the Screen to Your Stereo” album! Mxpx and Fall Out Boy are great picks also. This is turning into a really fun theme!

I love all of these but that Kiss Me cover was great!!! Never heard of the group, though.
My son was interested in the Fall Out Boy cover of MJ’s song. Barbie Girl was just all out funny! I like this meme!!
